A Farm Themed Wedding

He asked...With This Ring...
I said, "YES!" Actually, I said, "holy crap", then I said, "YES!"
Then We Created...
A {Vintage} Farm Themed Wedding
The Poster & Logo
Jamie designed this poster and logo that was used as a guest book and for road signs and decor at our wedding.  The corn ties in with our farm theme and each individual stalk represents the five members of or family coming together.  This symbol is even more significant as we start this farm fabulous journey together.

The Attire & Accessories...

The Rings
Jamie's ring is a JF Kruse original. The diamond is tension set between two white gold swirls that on the backside create an infinity symbol obscured to the world, but always visible to me. JF Kruse is a small but spectacular jewelry store in St. Cloud, MN that focuses on originality and quality.

Brent's ring is from P3 Designs and features a contrasted hammered and polished finish. Elegant simplicity for a man who works hard with his hands.

The DRESS
Bought off the rack, no alteration needed, at a ridiculously great price!
That's being a thrifty {farm fashionista}.

The Shoes
The twist in the shoes was similar to the the twist in the bust of Jamie's dress creating very {unified} attire.
Jamie saw these silver, leather, Nine West shoes and was SOLD!
Fashion and decor are all about the details which unify an artwork, an outfit or a room.

The Bride
This is Jamie getting ready for the Big Event.

The Boys
The gentlemen wore suits of black and ivory.
This is a favorite pictures of ours...
{TIMELESS}

The Headpiece
This was Jamie's favorite wedding item.
So farm {couture}.

Vintage Glam: aka Farm Fabulousness
This is Jamie's best friend and fellow art teacher, Robin Stoltz glamming it up with feathers in their hair. Robin was the lady who accompanied Jamie on the hunt for the perfect headpiece & together they nailed it!

The Bouquets
This is Jamie's bouquet.  Our daughters carried two similar smaller bouquets.
The bouquets were made from the tassels of corn grown in our fields.
They were beautifully organic & added a welcomed texture & earthiness to our
wedding and ceremony.
 The Location...

Historic Gilfillian Farm, Redwood Falls, MN
Seven miles north of our farm resides historic Gilfillian Farm, home of Minnesota's Farm Fest, held each August, to celebrate all things farming.  We felt this was the perfect location for our farm fabulous wedding.  We were married in the gardens on a God given Saturday evening. We held our reception celebration in the Tauer Pavillion which was donated and built by family friends making it even more memorable.

Arriving In Style...
We arrived at our ceremony in a vintage 1920's Model T Ford donated to Gilfillian Farms
by the late Mel Tauer.
We were lucky enough to use this car because Brent's best friend is his grandson.
We've got friends in farm places.

The Kids
Our children describe our wedding as their favorite day ever...Warms our hearts!
One of their favorite parts was riding in the {vintage} car.
The Decor...

Florals & Centerpieces
For our wedding we used vegetation grown on our farm and in our fields,
or our families yards...as decor!
{Neighboring road ditches were also fair game.}

Glad Corn...
Each guest received a bag of Gladcorn with note letting them know we were "glad" they were part of our day.  Gladcorn is made locally, near Mt. Lake Minnesota.  My husband and I drove to the Gladcorn farm and personally, met the creators of the company and this wonderful snack.  They are great Christian people who create food that is good tasting and from the earth. Once you try this stuff you'll be addicted.
So you can try it, I have included their information below:

The Reception & Dance...

A Harvest Ball...
Our family was instrumental in creating the farm themed dance.  From creating corn shocks to decorate the posts of the reception hall, to stringing the lights for the dance that looked like a blanket of stars...
Our family truly made our wedding day unforgettable.

And we { LIVE } happy ;-)
