The GREAT White Kitchen

We are in the planning stages of our 2nd Phase of remodeling...

which will focus on the kitchen.

Each of the images below has ideas we like for our own space. 

When planning a space it is a great idea to use a resource like pinterest to SEE as many images as possible to help decide what it is you really are looking for in your own design.  A portfolio of images can really help your designer/contractor or builder SEE your intended outcome.

 Love the idea of a cabinet built to look like furniture. We'll have one like this somewhere.

 The use of reclaimed building materials and a glass door & stainless fridge are a must.

 A prep sink in a carrara marble island with contrasting butcher block are on the list too.

 This image is small but has a similar feel to how our kitchen/dining will feel after we remove the wall between the two. We are still waiting to see if we are able to get by without a support between the two in the form of columns. We have our fingers crossed.

 We will be working with exposed brick that will run through the island as the chimney has to stay. We'll whitewash it like the brick above.

 And this sink style, under mounted will be the perfect addition to a farm fabulous kitchen reno.

This says modern farmhouse, and we sure are listening. We like the contrast of  the white with soapstone black counters around the perimeter.  We might try this?

 And a touch of whimsy somewhere???
